“Jerez Horse Fair 2024: Tradition and Culture

The Jerez Horse Fair is filled with joy, excitement, and purebred animals. The majesty of the creatures on display at this event has sparked international attention. It originated as a livestock market in 1284 and gradually grew into the festival we know today.

The main attractions in González Hontoria Park are the horse activities and stalls set up along the promenades and sidewalks, decorated with garlands and flowers.

During this festive week, the Jerez Horse Fair 2024 will hold several horse-related events, including international show jumping and dressage competitions, equestrian rallies, select livestock displays, and auctions.

Throughout the day, hundreds of horse riders and carriages parade through the fairground’s streets, producing a stunning display. Fraternity and club booths, each adorned with a different theme each year, gather in this area to compete for prizes.

Inside the fairgrounds, visitors may drink excellent wine, sample local specialties, and dance the Sevillanas till the early hours of the morning in an exciting and lively environment that transforms the park into a colorful flamenco tablao.

There are also food and drink vendors, as well as children’s activities. The Feria schedule also includes bullfighting exhibitions, Sevillana dancing competitions, and fireworks, ensuring a diverse and enjoyable celebration of Jerez’s cultural heritage.

The Jerez Horse Fair 2024, also known as the Feria del Caballo, celebrates long-standing equestrian traditions with competitions in show jumping, dressage, and livestock displays.
